WhatsApp Integration

With WhatsApp, you can chat with Turtle AI Mate, talk to your tools, and receive agent results + task reminders right in your chats. It’s the fastest way to stay on top of meetings, emails, tickets, and daily digests—without opening the app.

What you can do on WhatsApp

  • Chat naturally: Ask anything, just like in the app. e.g., “Summarize unread emails in the last 24 hours.”
  • Talk to tools: Gmail, Calendar, JIRA, HubSpot, Drive, Sheets, Internet (search).
  • Agent results: Get your Daily Digest, Investor Update, Competitor Watch, etc.
  • Task reminders: Receive reminders and reply with quick actions (e.g., “done”, “snooze 30m”).

Prerequisite: verify your phone number

  1. Go to Settings → Edit Profile
  2. Enter your phone number → tap Send OTP
  3. Enter the OTP → tap Save Changes
  4. Status shows Verified
Edit Profile (verify phone number via OTP)
Once your number is verified, you can message Turtle AI Mate on WhatsApp and receive agent results + task reminders.

Enable WhatsApp delivery for agents

When creating or editing an agent, choose WhatsApp under Destinations. You can combine destinations (Notes, Email, Push, WhatsApp). Create Agent → set Instruction, Schedule, Tools → Destinations (WhatsApp) → Create
Create Agent (Instruction & Schedule)Create Agent (Destinations incl. WhatsApp)
Tip: Save outputs to Notes as well so you keep a permanent record, searchable later.

Example workflows that shine on WhatsApp

  • Daily Founder Digest (7:30 AM) Emails (important + unread) • Today’s meetings • Top 3 JIRA issues • 3 industry headlines
  • Client Meeting Prep (2h before) Attendees • Recent email threads • Open JIRA items • Latest company news
  • Investor Update (Fridays 6 PM) JIRA progress • Key meetings • Partnership/client highlights from Gmail
  • Competitor Watch (Mondays 9 AM) Funding news • Product launches • Leadership changes + related email mentions
You can manage and monitor agents anytime: Agents list (manage schedules & destinations)

Talking to your tools over WhatsApp (prompts you can copy)

  • Gmail: “Summarize unread emails since yesterday. Highlight anything from investors or ACME.”
  • Calendar: “Prepare me for today’s meetings with attendees + last email context.”
  • JIRA: “Show high-priority blockers on Project X with owners.”
  • Internet: “Top 5 AI SaaS funding deals this week, 1-line each.”
  • Hybrid: “Draft a client follow-up from today’s call (check Calendar) using the last email thread.”

Task reminders & quick actions

When a task reminder arrives on WhatsApp, reply with:
  • done — marks the task complete
  • snooze 30m — snoozes reminder (supports 10m, 1h, tomorrow 9am)
  • save — saves the reminder content to Notes
  • details — sends back the full task context (deadline, priority, links)

Best practices

  • Keep prompts short + specific: “Summarize unread from investors” > “Summarize my emails”
  • Schedule your rituals: A single Daily Digest agent creates a sticky habit.
  • Save to Notes: WhatsApp is delivery; Notes are your memory.
  • Combine tools: Gmail + Calendar + JIRA + Internet makes the best pre-meeting briefs.

Limits & plans

  • Starter: basic WhatsApp reminders quota
  • Pro & Business: expanded or unlimited WhatsApp usage
  • Internet search within agents is available where enabled by your plan.
(See Billing & Credits for exact quotas.)

Troubleshooting

  • Not receiving messages?
    • Confirm your number is Verified (Settings → Edit Profile).
    • Check you didn’t block the business sender on WhatsApp.
    • Ensure the agent actually ran (see Next Run / Last Run in Agents).
  • No agent output?
    • Open the agent → confirm Schedule, Tools, Destinations, and Instruction.
    • Ensure connected tools (Gmail/Calendar/JIRA/HubSpot) are authenticated.

Privacy & Security

  • Phone numbers are used only for WhatsApp delivery.
  • OAuth for Gmail/Calendar/JIRA/HubSpot with scoped access.
  • You can revoke integrations anytime in Settings.
